The Texas Alliance for Water Conservation (TAWC) is a agricultural producer-led water conservation demonstration funded through the Texas Water Development Board. The TAWC and its partners provides for research, demonstration, and implementation of technologies to reduce water use from the Ogallala Aquifer while ensuring the continued economic viability of agriculture in the Texas High Plains.
This Demonstration Project is overseen by a Board of Directors comprised of producers within the Texas High Plains area in cooperation with scientists from Texas Tech University College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Texas A&M FARM Assistance Program, Agrilife Research and Extension, USDA-ARS and NRCS, and the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District..
The Texas Tech West Texas Mesonet provides the climate data used in the Tools section of the TAWC Solutions website.
